The Algarve Superyacht Culinary Academy is a training centre for Superyacht Galley Chefs.
The Algarve is known for its beautiful beaches, but its cuisine is full of undiscovered treasures. Located ocean side, in the centre of the Algarve is the town of Albufeira. Since ancient times, Albufeira is one of the most renowned fishing and maritime ports in Portugal. With the passing of the Romans, it was the Arabs who left their footprint on this important village, originally naming the area “Al-buhera” which resembled “The sea castle”.
The Superyacht Culinary course takes place in the Pine Cliffs resort hotel, and provides a complete course including all food, training and accommodation. The last day of the course sees students preparing a gala meal for guests in the hotel kitchen, guided by the hotel head chef.

All training classes are interactive and provide insights into the world of culinary arts aboard superyachts. Classes as no larger than 12 people at a time which keeps them intimate and personal.
All classes are taught by professionals that are still directly involved in the business and are willing to share their experiences and culinary secrets with you. Prepare yourself to discover new cooking techniques, fresh ideas, brilliant plating tips and test the boundaries of culinary norms.
The international seasons are between September and April each year.
Our training scheduled occur during the off-season (October – April) when crew get the chance to refresh their skills or upgrade to a new skill level.
