Our Superyacht Training Centre located in the Waterfront is the hub where all training takes place and allows students to interact direCtly with people directly involved in the yachting industry.
Located in the suburb of Hout Bay, one of the three leisure yachting harbours of South Africa, the training centre is ideally situated to gain the best experience and make this charismatic neighbourhood the perfect place to stay whilst visiting Cape Town.
The Superyacht Culinary Academy offers the hands-on interactive courses designed to provide any trainee with the skills and expertise to become a professional aboard luxury yachts. We not only provide professional culinary training but also offer Steward/ess and Crew courses as complete course packages.

All training classes are interactive and provide insights into the world of culinary arts aboard superyachts. Classes are no larger than 12 people at a time which keeps them intimate and personal. All classes are taught by professionals that are still directly involved in the business and are willing to share their experiences and culinary secrets with you. Prepare yourself to discover new cooking techniques, fresh ideas, brilliant plating tips and test the boundaries of culinary norms.
Our training occurs throughout the year. Many crew members take the opportunity to refresh their skills or upgrade to a new skill level during the transition period between the Mediterranean Season (April-September) and the US season (October – March). Each venue offers different training schedules. Please enquire about the scheduled course dates and venues when booking.
