The Superyacht Culinary Academy (housed within the Stir Crazy Training Centre, Cape Town) was founded in 2014. Our Superyacht Courses are structured to provide expert training for all positions on board any seagoing vessels.

We offer over 39 courses specifically for yacht crew. We constantly add new courses to our armoury so that you have the necessary skills not only to start a career at sea, but also to advance your skills to the next level. Our professional trainers have all the qualifications and experience to provide industry-relevant hands-on theory and practical-based course content. All our trainers and facilities are compliant with international OfQual training standards.

We are accredited with International Yacht Training, Highfield, South African Chefs Association, Professional Educators Forum, International Association of Maritime Institutions (IAMI), South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) and G.U.E.S.T. The Academy was voted the runner-up for the ‘Best Crew Training Centre Worldwide’, voted by Captains and Crew.
