Course Overview

Superyacht Training Academy’s Advanced Deckhand Career Course has been specially designed to meet the ever-growing demand for well-trained professional crew on luxury yachts. This course includes Day Skipper Sailing and RYA Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore Theory, having these qualifications will give you a competitive edge on your CV and is also a good entry point for crew looking to gain their Yachtmaster qualification in future.

This is the simplest and most effective way to gain entry level employment as a Deckhand onboard yachts of all sizes.

As an Advanced Deckhand, you’ll have the upper hand with your competition with thorough knowledge and training of the following:

Leadership: lead wash downs, be in control of tender operations

All products and product management

Crew management and organisation

Tender driving, mooring operations

Rigging and working aloft

Topcoat painting and fibreglass repairs

Splicing of lines

RYA Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore Theory - 6 Days
