Course Overview

The Diesel Engine Course is a beginners course teaching you basic maintenance and engine care which will help you prevent and solve diesel engine failure.

This course teaches you how an engine works, basic checks and maintenance procedures and how to get it started again in the event of a breakdown.

You will learn the principles of diesel engine operation, the system and parts of the engine, fault finding, routine maintenance and winter lay-up procedures.

Ability after course: Theoretical knowledge of the fundamentals of a marine diesel engine and how it operates.
