Advanced Course Overview
This course will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore Exam, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills
This course equips you to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. It allows some time for revision of the basics and then moves on to advanced navigation techniques.
The course is relevant to the southern hemisphere – we use a southern hemisphere version of the training materials.
The International Regulations for Prevention of Collision at Sea are dealt with in detail and you will also learn more about yacht stability and safety offshore.
It is strongly recommended that students have a good grasp of theory subjects to Day Skipper standard.
